The Snow Queen
Tobhiyah was an Artist in Residence at Pymble Ladies’ College in 2012.
Across a period of several months coinciding with the design development for the school’s production of ‘The Snow Queen’, Tobhiyah taught design workshops for secondary students of all ages.
Thirty students learnt about design and contributed to ideas for the set, props and costumes. Special funding awarded by the PLC Ex-Students’ Union made this unique education project possible.
The story centres on two friends, Cei and Gerda, who are separated when the Snow Queen places a splinter of glass in Cei’s eye, taking him away to her wintery castle. As she tries to take over the world, Gerda is the only one who can rescue her friend and the world as we know it.
