In Architecture by Stukel Stone

Daniel Beasly gave an architecture talk to the patrons of the Canberra International Music Festival as part of the Amazing Space Series, ‘Sounding the NGA’. The event was presented in association with the Australian Institute of Architects and the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.

The concert was a pairing of “Finnish Fiddling” Performed by Pekka Kuusisto on violin and the James Turrell ‘Skyspace’. As the site architect for the Skyspace Daniel gave an account of the design and construction process and discussed the possible chance harmonies between music and an architectural space designed purely for viewing light.
